Environmental Health Officer - COVID Response

Buckingham Futures are seeking a home-based Environmental Health Officer in the northwest of England (you will be required to undertake site visits as required) to join our clients Covid Response Service to start asap till 31/12/2021.

Your role will involve working with businesses to ensure compliance with Covid requirements.  Work will involve reacting to service requests and also proactive business engagement.  The role will involve taking part in Safety Advisory Group meetings as appropriate, advising event organisers re: Covid controls and helping to support businesses through the pandemic.

You will have a sound knowledge of current Covid legislation and current  Government Covid guidance, health and safety legislation and enforcement options for non-compliance.

You will work closely with an EH outbreak control team and a good knowledge of infectious disease control is desirable.  Knowledge of contact tracing and associated definitions including contact definitions etc is also desirable.

You must be willing to work flexibly to respond to fast-changing situations such as spikes and clusters in infections, emerging variants, you will bring a can-do approach to all that you do.

Experience in providing a COVID-19 response is desirable.

The minimum requirements for the post are: -

- Hold an EHRB registration certificate or have sufficient experience dealing with infectious disease control or other suitable qualification eg NEBOSH

- Evidence of recent CPD.

Pay Rate - c£40p/h
