Senior/Trainee Environmental Quality Officer (Air)

Starting salary between £24,081 and £34,000 per annum, depending on level

Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn

We have an exciting opportunity for you to come and join our dedicated scientific team as a Senior Environmental Quality Officer dealing with air quality matters and taking the lead in operating and running the environmental monitoring programme.  The work will also involve the completion of the DEFRA Annual Status Report, implementation of the Air Quality Action Plan, reviewing planning applications and contributing to the Kings Lynn Transport Strategy group. You will also assist in other general environmental quality work.

You will have a Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant Degree with professional experience in environmental quality matters including, Air Quality or Environmental Monitoring. Expertise of Prescribed Processes would be desirable. Working effectively in a team you will be able to manage your workload to ensure you meet tight deadlines. 

We would also welcome applicants who do not have the level of experience but do have a keen interest in environment quality matters including air quality and are looking to develop your career.  We could offer you a Trainee role and would provide you with excellent training in the environmental specialist of Air quality.
