ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & LICENSING TEAM

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Officers to join our busy Environmental Health & Licensing Team. The posts will cover various disciplines.                                                                                                                                                                                                Why work for South Staffordshire Council?

South Staffordshire is a diverse district, made up of a collection of large and small villages, each with its own distinctive character set in an attractive semi-rural area on the western edge of the West Midlands conurbation. Around 80% of the district is Green Belt and we are also home to some major employers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Moog Aerospace.

We are an exciting and award-winning Council that has lots to offer. We support agile ways of working and flexible working patterns. Employees can benefit from an excellent flexi scheme with up to 15 days per year, (now piloting up to 20 days per year). The offices are open to staff from 7.30am to 6.30pm and remote working hours are from 6am to 11pm. Other benefits include discounted leisure memberships, buying of annual leave scheme, free car parking, payment of one professional membership fee, and essential car user allowance.

Our main offices in Codsall are currently undergoing modernisation and refurbishment to provide a real community hub with partner organisations, local businesses, library, doctors surgery and cafe all in one central location.

Our friendly team is relatively small, and this along with the diverse nature of the district will give you scope to broaden your experience. Your enthusiasm and motivation will be rewarded with opportunities to initiate and become involved in exciting projects and work with partners to make a real difference in South Staffordshire.
