Environmental Health Officer/Senior EHO

The Officer will take the lead for effective investigation and resolution of noise jobs, other statutory nuisance and public health complaints in the Wakefield district. They will decide the most fitting actions to look into and resolve customer enquiries working within our procedures and within a supportive environment. Their excellent communication skills will help them support evidence gathering with customers and giving bad news if we cannot help after a reasonable investigation. They will resolve most complaints informally, but will use formal action when needed.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer care as training and support will be given.

We offer flexible working across 37 hours full time, be home based with a desk and all equipment provided or work from our modern office Wakefield One next to Westgate Train station or a bit of both. Visit residents and businesses from home or the office it’s your choice. We will also consider job share applications for 18.5 hours per week.
