Public Health Intelligence Analyst

Our client, based in the East of London id looking to appoint a Public Health Intelligence Analyst. The aim of the role is to identify health and social care inequalities from a Race, Age and Gender lens, who they affect, the reasons why they exist, and how we might address them - the ambition to reduce these inequalities in particular individual and institutionalised Racism.

This work consists of 4 phases. They have recently completed Phase I which was the scene setting phase. This included a literature review, covid-19 hospital data analysis and the analysis of the covid-19 risk factors at a population level. The Phase I findings will inform the data analysis at Phases II and III to understand and explore Equality challenges at a service level. These phases are quite resource-intensive and will require an additional resource in particular an Intelligence Analyst to carry out this piece of work.

You will be expected to carry out the following work.

1.Inequalities work to carry out data analysis of PRMG services over 6 months

2.The above analysis will form the basis of the Annual Public Health Report which should be published by June 2021

3.The analyst will also support the current Intelligence and performance team with some surveillance on a daily /weekly basis, Testing and contact tracing analysis, hot spotting etc.

For this role it is essential that you have business intelligence and social care experience over a couple of years, ideally with a PH background /experience and or health experience. You must also have a good understanding on how the health and social care system works, and also, be able to navigate and query various complex data sets.

This is a 6 month role with a pay rate of £350 - £400/day.
