Job Details

Our client in the West Midlands is looking to appoint a Commissioning Manager to lead on improvement within the Public Realm contract for the local council. The post holder will have extensive experience of large Public Sector Commissioning and will be reporting directly into the Chief Executive.

For this assignment you will have a strong ability to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Public Realm contract, with a clear focus on outcomes. You will need to effectively challenge the status quo and drive sustainable efficiencies within commissioning management in Public Realm whilst also delivering radical change within the Public Realm contract to provide best value.

The post holder must have the ability to think creatively and identify an effective range of possible solutions to develop, implement and manage a robust commissioning framework for the Public Realm function. You must promote a culture of evidence based commissioning through the development, delivery and management of commissioning strategies to inform decision making, governance, procedure, protocol and training that ensures Public Realm is at the centre of all decisions.

The contract for this assignment is 6-9 months and the rate of pay is £400-£450/day (umbrella). Before applyin to this role, please make sure that you have the relevant experience in Public Sector Commissioning.
