Commissioning Manager (Market Management)

Our client in South London is looking to appoint a Commissioning Manager (Market Management) in order to ensure the best value for money from the services commissioned to support people with learning disabilities.

The client is wanting to ensure there is greater governance and compliance in relation to commissioning practices in conjunction with developing the local market to ensure the dynamic and changing needs of the population can be met in a timely manner. To promote the development of the market they are planning to introduce a provider framework across a number of thematic areas that include: residential and supporting services (bed based care) and community services that promote the independence and life skills of people with Learning Disabilities)

Key areas of expertise required:

1.Successfully leading provider negotiations.
2.Developing in conjunction with service users and providers services specifications
3. Implementing provider frameworks
4. Leading high value and multiple procurement exercises
5.Ensuring value for money and leading provider negotiations
6.Developing the market in line with the Council's strategic ambitions and the local vision for people with Learning Disabilities.

This role is set for an initial 3 month period with the chance of extension and the pay rate for this assignment is £450-£500/day.
