Public Health Programme Manager

Our client in East London is looking to appoint a Public Health Programme Manager for middle aged and older people. The purpose of the role is to improve the health and wellbeing of people within the borough and reduce health inequalities, working as part of a team focusing on the Middle aged and older people.

In addition, the post holder will contribute to two or more programme areas (e.g. mental health, sexual health, tobacco control, drugs & alcohol, healthy weight, health protection, long term conditions) across the department, the council and with wider partners. This will involve supervision of staff, trainees and volunteers and leading on agreed projects and programmes.

For this assignment it is essential that you have a masters level qualification in Public Health or related subject or equivalent professional qualification, alongside this you must
have experience (minimum of 3 years) of public health practice. You must also have experience of undertaking health needs assessment, health care evaluation, equity audits, clinical and non-clinical audits or quality assurance, health strategy and policy development.

This role is set with a 3 month initial contract with a likely extension thereafter and the pay rate is up to £350/day.
