We are seeking to appoint a qualified Environmental Health Officer to join the Housing Standards team.

The post holder will undertake a full range of private sector housing duties including licensing of houses in multiple occupation and investigation and appropriate action in respect of illegal eviction and harassment cases.

If you are a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with an up to date working knowledge and recent experience of enforcing housing and public health law we would love to hear from you.

To be successful you will need…

  • A degree, MSc or equivalent in Environmental Health.
  • HHSRS training qualifications including HHSRS assessment and HHSRS enforcement.
  • Holding an EHRB Certificate of Registration or a qualified graduate who holds a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health and enrolled on the CIEH’s Chartered Practitioner Programme.
  • Relevant experience of Housing and Public Health Act enforcement;
  • Good level of IT skills - MS Office
