Assistant Director of Commissioning
Our client in South Yorkshire is looking to appoint an Assistant Director of Commissioning, performance and quality. The post holder will work across the Children and Young People's directorate and the council's NHS Commissioning Group (CCG) to provide a joint co-ordinated focus on commissioning and performance management working across the two organisations and sites.
Managing a range of discrete services and as a member of the Directorate Management Team (DMT) you will contribute to the strategic direction, impact and overall performance of the CYPS directorate. The post holder will also link into the CCG's Operational Executive Team, managing the children and young people's Health Commissioned Services.
You will be responsible for: Joint health and local authority commissioning strategy, service improvement/performance and planning, management information, business planning cycle, quality assurance, organisational development (partnerships and quality), programme management (implementation of new case management system), policy and young inspectors. The post holder will have reporting lines to both the Strategic Director of Children's and Young People's Services and the Deputy Chief Officer of the council's NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
For this assignment it is essential that you have a thorough working knowledge of Children's and Young People's Services, central government strategic agendas (including working together, child protection, safeguarding issues, equality and diversity, health and safety, children's health services etc.)
This role is a 3 month initial contract with a pay rate of £550-£650/day (umbrella). The role will be a mix of home working and office work so it is important that you are within the South Yorkshire area.
