Job Details

Our client, a local authority in East London, required suitably qualified Licensing Enforcement Officers to conduct regulatory inspections at premises across the district. You will be serving to ensure that licensing conditions, including the monitoring of permitted hours, and other legislative requirements, including Covid-19 legislation are adhered to.

Work will be a mixture of pro-active inspections and responding to ad hoc service requests. You will undertake the investigation of complaints, assess the level of non-compliance and initiate appropriate action. Compliance visits will likely be undertaken outside office hours so you will need to be happy with this arrangement.

Our client needs a fairly quick start and to meet demand they need Officers with a proven track record in a similar role. You will need a good working knowledge of current UK Licensing legislation and you will need to be responsive to training, particularly with regard to emerging policy around Covid-19. Any specific Covid-19 related training you may already have undertaken would be an advantage so please ensure you detail this on your CV.

The initial contract will run for 2-4 months with a high possibility of extending. The role will be 36 hours a week at an umbrella rate of between £20-£25 per hour and this role is inside IR35. If you are only available part time please also contact us as the client may consider this option.
