Location: Agile Working / Tavistock / Totnes, Devon

Salary: £36,922 - £40,876 per annum  (Level 4)

This is an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our busy Environmental Health & Licensing team. As part of the wider Environmental Health and Licensing service, you will each be required to lead a multi-disciplinary team towards making a real difference to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of our residents. You will need to be highly organised and self-motivated and will have the ability to adapt to change and work as part of a great team across a diverse subject area.

The duties of the roles will involve various aspects of Environmental Health such as Pollution Control, Air Quality, Emergency Planning, Business Continuity, Safety Advisory Groups and Licensing; however due to the fast paced and changeable nature of the service, there is opportunity and scope to be involved in a variety of tasks  As Senior Specialists, you will be required to take on more complex issues and provide advice and guidance as necessary to colleagues and customers.

The successful candidates will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject (or have equivalent work experience) and will have the ability to meet demanding deadlines whilst remaining focused on the delivery of a quality service. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders are also essential to these roles.
