Public Health Consultant - £340/day

Our client in the West Midlands is looking to appoint a Public Health Consultant for at least 6 months but very likely up to 12.

Our client has 3 defined areas within their public health team - Public Health and Prevention, Adult Social Work and Safeguarding and Care Commissioning; you will be assigned work in line with your experience and expertise.

You will be assigned multiple work streams with the requirement to provide whole system leadership and strategic support to the Head of Strategy in undertaking key statutory and leadership duties including assurance programmes for health protection and emergency planning functions.

You will be involved with a range of Commissioning research audits/projects and you will be required to appropriately undertaking research or audit.

Given the current climate you can expect to be dealing with with busy, changing demands and you will often be working to tight deadlines. The ability to advise and make recommendations regarding services and patient care is essential.

To apply for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing local authority public health programmes. You will need ssignificant experience of working in a commercial environment driving efficiencies and value for money. It is essential that you have highly developed analytical skills using qualitative and quantitative data.

Our client is based in Staffordshire. The rate will be round £340/day (inside IR35).
