Our client in South London is seeking a Markets and Commercial Waste Enforcement Officer to join their team on an interim part-time basis.

 

Main Responsibilities

· To work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service, with the aim of improving the local environment by ensuring the operation of the borough’s street trading, dealing with illegal street trading, business waste and enforcement at street markets and at sites across the wider borough.

· To undertake enforcement and compliance, regulatory and investigation activities in accordance with legislation.

· To open and close the street markets within the Borough on a Monday to Sunday basis in accordance with the operational rota working outside in all weathers across the borough.

· To work in partnership with the other Commercial Services team and Compliance Manager, providing cover as and when required.

Key Experience/ Qualifications

·Previous experience working for a local authority in any kind of Environmental Enforcement or Licensing Enforcement role is required.
