Covid Support Officer x6

Our client requires 6 Covid Support Officers to operate on a flexible shift pattern as specified below:

- 2 workers Monday - Friday
- 2 workers Tuesday - Saturday
- 2 workers Sunday - Thursday

Shifts are 8 hours between hours per shift 8am-10pm.

You will across the district and will be tasked with engaging with residents, workers and visitors to share information with them on COVID-19 prevention. You will provide information and advice to businesses to help check for compliance. You will help support the management of queues to encourage 'social distancing' and encourage face covering by customers in shops and covered spaces.

On a daily basis you will respond to a range of queries from the public and businesses. Essentially you will act as a representative of the Local Authority to provide resources to businesses including signposting to Government advice or grants and you will make referrals to other services for cases that required bespoke advice.

The role will best suit those who have experience in a local authority environment and are already familiar with public health, environmental health and licensing departments. Anyone who has ha da customer facing role such as working in Environmental Enforcement would be perfect.

You will need excellent communication skills and the confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders. You will need to be able to carry out partial work and be happy to work outside as required.
