Covid Marshall

Our client in South London is seeking a Covid Marshall to provide guidance and support to businesses and the general public on Covid-19 requirements.

To act as a visible presence on the High Street and Neighbourhood Shopping Areas with the aim of providing guidance and support to businesses and the general public through engagement education and encouragement on Covid-19 requirements, with the aim of creating a safe and welcoming city.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

1. Provide customer-focused specialist advice regarding COVID-19 Regulations, such as social distancing and wearing a face covering, and guidance within the Councils and externally including keeping up to date with current and emerging legislation, best practice and policy and ensuring continuous development and improvement in services. Directing pedestrians and managing pedestrian one-way systems in the city centre and designated Neighbourhood Shopping Areas. Guiding pedestrians through exit and entry points. Checking and promoting visibility of COVID-19 Secure messaging. Handing out face coverings and guiding the public to hygiene stations (where available). Handing out leaflets to members of the public in relation to social distance messaging. Working with local businesses on queue management in the public realm, for example, advising on one-way systems and social distancing in queues. Facilitating and encouraging social distancing and to help prevent mixing between groups in evening economy areas. Reminding members of the public to wear a face-covering where required in relation to business premises. To assist officers within the Environmental Health and Community Safety service with various duties, as necessary to control the spread of COVID-19 across individuals, businesses and in the community. To carry out any other duties commensurate with the role.
