As part of a small team, the successful candidate will carry out a diverse range of duties, including but not exhaustively:

Environmental Health Practitioner (Environmental Protection)

Salary Grade H: (£33,449 to £36,557)

  • Planning and Licensing consultations
  • Statutory Nuisance investigations
  • Air Quality and Contaminated Land Management (previous experience desirable)

Senior Environmental Health Practitioner (Commercial including Food Hygiene)

Salary Grade J: (£41,466 to £43,422)
Job reference: H21/05
 

  • Food Hygiene Inspections (previous experience and qualification essential)
  • Accident Investigations and Health and Safety interventions
  • Infectious Disease and Outbreak investigations

Applicants applying for the role should be qualified to degree level in a relevant scientific discipline and have up to date practical knowledge and experience of applying Environmental Health law.  A full driving licence is essential.
