Public Health Programme Lead

Excellent opportunity to secure a well paid role working within one of the most challenging Boroughs in London helping lead and manage a range of public health projects that fall under the 'Children & Families' remit.

This will be a challenging but highly rewarding assignment which will see you join a busy, passionate team focused on delivering a high quality service. The role is a newly created post so you will have the chance to play a key role in shaping it's outcome and contributing to new ideas and projects.

You will work closely with the team's Programme Manager for the Covid-19 response and other team members to ensure a number of key priorities are delivered, these will include:

- Developing the school health service role in the Covid-19 pandemic
- Providing leadership in the reduction of inequalities relating to children and families
- Engaging in and facilitating the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines in children's settings

To carry out this role you will need a strong background in public health related work, most likely gained within a local authority or certainly within a health services setting where you have specifically focused on work with children and families. You will need a positive, pro-active attitude with the ability to identify and prioritise work streams accordingly.

This contract is expected to roll on for some time and will be initially offered for 3-6 months. The day rate is £450 (umbrella). Our client is based in East London
