Senior Food Safety Officer

Starting salary up to £33,210 per annum, plus essential user car allowance

Permanent, Full-time - 37 hours per week

Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn

If you are a highly motivated, adaptable, and career-minded food safety professional, we need you to join our small, professional, and multi-functional team.  You will primarily be responsible for food premises inspections, ship sanitation inspection, infectious disease control and responding to food product and premises complaints.  You will also have the opportunity to carry out monitoring exports of fishery products and shellfish including the verification of documents, identity and physical checks.

As a minimum you will hold the EHORB Higher certificate in Food Inspection Control (or equivalent) with an up-to-date knowledge of current food legislation.  You will have significant experience of working in a busy office environment with the ability to communicate effectively and analyse and evaluate investigation to recommendation action, and have a high level of accuracy.  You must have a full driving licence to be able to travel around the Borough.
