£34,728 - £37,890 pro rata per annum

Part –time, 22 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bedford Borough Council for a qualified Environmental Health Officer in the Housing & Pollution Team. The role involves delivering the team’s reactive and planned workload in relation to private sector housing, public protection and pollution including statutory nuisance and planning consultations.


The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience in a regulatory environment, particularly within the professional disciplines of the post and will be familiar with undertaking investigations into legislative breaches and taking appropriate formal action. In addition, you will hold relevant qualifications and be registered with EHRB and/or have chartered status with the CIEH.
