Environmental Health Manager

An opportunity to take lead on a team of 5 officers, helping to provide the best service for the local area. You will be the senior adviser to the Council on a wide range Environmental Health matters and will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the team.

You will also play a key part of the strategic development of services including local air quality management, environmental noise control, implementation of the contaminated land regime, statutory nuisances, radiation and the response to emergency incidents.

This is a full time position, starting on a 3 month contract, however very much likely to be extended further. During lockdown, as you can expect, the onsite/ office visits will be kept to a minimum however once restrictions are lifted, attendance to the area will be required.

Managerial experience in required for the role, this could come from Team Manager /Team Leader or Senior Officer level.

Rates are £40 - £50 per hour, depending on your previous experience.
