Graduate Food Safety Consultant

Buckingham Futures are recruiting for a Graduate Food Safety Consultant on behalf of our private sector client in South Wales.  

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Undertake food safety and food standards audits and advice visits.
• Investigate cases of food poisoning.
• To undertake enforcement action as appropriate, including the service of notices and preparation of legal reports and witness statements.

In order to be considered for this role Buckingham Futures are looking for an individual with the below attributes:

·        Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health as recognised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health
·        Knowledge of current issues in food control, health and safety and current issues in infectious diseases
·        Ability to progress projects in a timely manner
·        Demonstrate the ability to make and implement decisions
·        Proven excellent team working skills
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·        Experience of report writing
·        Experience of presenting reports in various forums
·        Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
·        Ability to progress work with minimal supervision
·        Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
