Senior Food and Safety Officer (Environmental Health Officer)

Hours: Part-time 22 Hours per Week

Solihull Council is looking for an experienced Senior Food & Safety Officer (Environmental Health Officer) to join our Regulation and Enforcement Team.

You will be carrying out food hygiene and food standards inspections, communicable disease and complaint investigations, and imported food control at Birmingham Airport. You will also be involved in reactive and proactive Health and Safety issues that may arise.

You must be experienced in carrying out food hygiene inspections and investigations including the preparation of reports for formal action and the service of statutory notices.

You will have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health or a Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection and will be EHRB registered.

You must be self-motivated, and have the ability to work under your own initiative.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a great team player
