COVID High Street Enforcement Officer

Our client in the East Midlands continues their efforts to tackle the Covid pandemic whilst also maintaining a vibrant economy and as such, they require a COVID High Street Enforcement Officer. The role will focus on the provision of support, advice and information to businesses in the borough split between district and remote work.

You will undertake monitoring and site visits/inspections as necessary. You will be involved with other specific work such as providing assistance with the Council's prevention-based communications and targeted campaigning so whilst the role is really aimed at an Environmental Health Officer it will offer the opportunity to use skills in other capacities and as such offer quite a unique and different role to what you may be used to.

We are really looking for those from a local authority environmental health background with experience of health and safety audit/enforcement work and knowledge of infectious disease control. You will need to have an interest in getting involved in a range of projects and carrying out some work that is not within the 'standard' EHO remit.
