Port Health Officers / Support Staff - All levels
We are currently working with a client in Kent, South East England who are in the process of setting up a new border control facility in response to changes brought about by Brexit. The site will be based near junction 10a of the M20 and requires over 120 staff to be hired and in place ASAP in early 2021.
To begin with, we have been asked to assist with their recruitment drive to hire Port Health Officers. They are looking to recruit approximately 60 staff members, mainly through a permanent hire process but there will also be options for Fixed Term Contracts and temporary agency contract appointments. Given the scale of the requirement there will be a lot of flexibility for full time, part time or flexible hours arrangements. Below is an outline of the posts with salary bandings:
Principal Port Health Officer - £41,718 - £46,239
Snr Port Health Officer - £34,134 - £36,789
Port Health Officer - £35,508 - £39,528
Snr Port Health Support Officer - £34,134 - £36,789
Port Health Support Officer - £30,390 - £33,207
Port Health Support Assistant - £23,607 - £25,803
These roles will offer the chance to be involved in a major UK infrastructure project and as such will offer unique and exciting long term career opportunities. The Council is working very closely with DEFRA and the project will involve multiple partner agencies and organisations and you will be presented with an opportunity to take your career in a whole new direction.
The roles would be well suited to those from an environmental health background, anyone with previous Port Health experience would be ideal. Given the scope of this project we are interested in hearing from anyone at entry level through to Principal / Managerial level. There will be many more job opportunities over the coming months.
