Senior Public Health Specialist

Our client in East London are looking to appoint a Senior Public Health Specialist to help support the Director of Public Health.. As a Senior Public Health Specialist, the post holder will work within a team of public health staff to support the Director of Public Health to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in the borough and, where appropriate City of London Corporation. You will act in a supporting role for specified areas of public health to plan, deliver and evaluate public health initiatives.

You will be expected to be able to work across all domains of public health as and when required to do so and with additional training and support if necessary. The post holder may be required to change topics or work across portfolio areas in line with the needs of the business whilst maintaining generic public health skills as necessary. The postholder will have to adapt rapidly to shifting demands and priorities, and needs to be flexible and adaptable, with a high level of professional credibility.

For this assignment it is essential that you have at least 5 years of experience within a public health role with at least 3 of those years being in a senior position. You will be in contact with members of the public, external contractors, partners and senior stakeholders so your ability to communicate and engage must be excellent.

This assignment will begin in Jan 2021 and run for an initial 3 month period with the possibilty of extension. You will be working 36 hours a week at a day rate of £250 and this role is inside IR35.
