Job Details
The purpose of the role is to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Tower Hamlets and reduce health inequalities through strategic public health leadership to drive transformational change focusing on the pandemic response for children and families. This will include the following:
- Ensuring schools are supported in their management of cases and outbreaks
- Leading public health input into support for clinically extremely vulnerable children
- Oversight of infection control training for services working with children
- Developing the school health service role in the Covid-19 pandemic
- Providing leadership in the reduction of inequalities relating to children and families
- Developing plans for the roll out of targeted asymptomatic testing in schools and other children's settings
- Engaging in and facilitating the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccines in children's settings
For this role it is essential that you have a Masters level qualification in Public Health or related subject or equivalent professional qualification. You must also have a minimum of 5 years experience of Public Health pracrtice with three of those years being at a senior level.
The client is looking for someone to start this role ASAP with the contract running for 12 months until Dec 21. The pay for this role is between £38 - £45ph.
