Covid-19 Manager - £350/day

As Covid-19 Manager you will lead our Local Authority client's Health Protection response in relation to outbreaks. You will work very closely with Public Health England, South West Health Protection team / NHS England and other partners. You will serve to ensure co-ordination and delivery of the Local Outbreak Management plan in order to support protecting the residents of the county.

You will be responsible for developing and adopting appropriate presentation styles to ensure complex and/or straightforward public health information and products relating to the health protection agenda, can be used effectively by non-scientists, using a range of digital and/or paper-based formats. You will produce reports and analysis to inform decision making and you will work to ensure open lines of communication between all stakeholders.

As required you will ensure Outbreak Control Meetings/Incident Management Team meetings are convened to and actions are in place to manage emerging situations. You will have lead on the commissioning and performance management of health protection support/services and ensuring value for money and compliance with regulatory standards.

To apply you will need a relevant professional qualification (e.g. minimum of a Masters' degree in Public health) and a proven track record of work experience relevant to the area of work. You will need to be able to make confident, informed decisions and you will need good leadership skills. You will be someone who thrives under pressure, is quick to see solutions to problems and has a very good eye for analysing complex data and information.

The role is based with an authority in Somerset, will run for at least the next 4 months and pay a day rate of £350/day (umbrella).
