Job Details

Our client continues their efforts to tackle the Covid pandemic whilst also maintaining a vibrant economy and as such they require a COVID-19 High Street Project Officer. The role will focus on the provision of support, advice and information to businesses in the City Centre.

You will undertake monitoring and site visits / inspections as necessary. You will be involved with other specific work such as providing assistance with the Council's prevention based communications and targeted campaigning so whilst the role is really aimed at an Environmental Health Officer it will offer the opportunity to use skills in other capacities and as such offer quite a unique and different role to what you may be used to.

We are really looking for those from a local authority environmental health background with experience of health and safety audit / enforcement work and knowledge of infectious disease control. You will need to have an interest in getting involved in a range of projects and carrying out some work that is not within the 'standard' EHO remit.

The role will require you to work 37 hours per week and occasionally on weekends and outside routine office hours. It is based in Cambridge.

The client is offering an excellent rate, £35/hr (umbrella) and a contract to the end of March 2021.
