Environmental Health Officer - Health & Safety/COVID Enforcement

Our London based client is recruiting for an EHO to work as part of their Health and Safety Team on an interim basis investigating outbreaks in workplaces and reviewing systems of work for COVID secure measures.

You will be;

Responding to service requests and providing advice to businesses and the public

Investigate accidents under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR)  

Prepare and serve Statutory Notices and take enforcement action in line with the Council’s strategy and departmental enforcement policies

Carry out risk-assessed inspections of relevant workplaces

Investigate complaints regarding work places

Undertake fire, gas, asbestos, water hygiene and lift Notifications

Carry out campaigns and initiatives to raise awareness of Health and Safety issues

Provide advice and guidance to businesses on Health and Safety issues

 Qualifications

Environmental Health Degree/Masters 'OR' NEBOSH Diploma 'OR' equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
