12 Months Fixed Term Contract, 37 hours per week
South Ribble Borough Council has a strong track record of delivering high quality, effective and efficient services.
We are seeking an Environmental Health Team Manager to lead the Council’s Environmental Health team, and to support the delivery of the Council’s health protection function, including the management of infectious disease outbreaks and contributing to the response to major incidents, such as the current Covid 19 response.
You will be expected to provide effective leadership and management that will contribute to the continuous service improvement within the organisation.
You should have a degree in Environmental Health or equivalent, and previous experience of local authority budgetary controls. You will be expected to cope with multiple and changing demands, and to meet tight deadlines. A high level of intellectual rigour, political awareness, negotiation and motivation skills and flexibility are required.
