NJC Grade H1 £31,346 - £33,782, 37 Hours, Permanent

Student Environmental Protection Officer 

NJC Grade E £22,183 - £24,491, 37 Hours, Temporary until 1st September 2021

Blackpool Council have exciting opportunities in their busy food and health and safety enforcement team for fully qualified environmental health professionals.

Still studying Environmental Health or recently graduated? We also have a student placement to assist the right candidate in gaining invaluable experience and achieving their qualification. This could lead to a full time permanent Officer job, (subject to manager discretion).

Applicants will ideally have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health and be CIEH EHRB registered.  You will be responsible for carrying out food hygiene and food standards inspections, communicable disease control, and complaint investigation. You will also carry out health and safety accident and complaint investigations. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the duties and functions within other regulatory areas such as licensing, housing enforcement and environmental protection etc.

For those already studying environmental health or who have recently qualified, you are invited to apply for our exciting new Student Environmental Protection Officer post.  You will primarily work within the Environmental Protection team assisting in investigating statutory nuisance, but will also gain invaluable experience across the whole spectrum of environmental health, enabling you to complete your environmental health qualifications.

All posts require excellent interpersonal skills and you will need to be a great team player. You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a car while at work.
