Licensing Compliance Inspector(s) - £40-£50 per inspection

We have a client in North West England, currently under Tier 3 Covid restrictions, who need to carry out compliance checks on just over 400 licensed premises across the district. They are based North of Manchester.

The target is to deliver this task within 6 weeks so we anticipate it will take at least 3 individuals to manage the workload. Dependent on how the situation pans out post Xmas this may become a rolling brief.

The visits themselves are very straight forward and are only expected to take around 30 minutes and will need to be conducted in a Covid secure manner following our client's risk assessment guidelines.

You will need to provide your own transport the costs of which will be incorporated into your pay rate.

At the moment the client is open to paying on a per inspection or per hour basis. We feel an inspection rate of around £40-£50 per visit would be suitable but we are open to discussion.

We ideally need people with previous experience in licensing or certainly with a good enough grounding in general environmental health compliance work to be able to quickly and easily adapt and undertake this work. Since it is a fairly straight forward compliance check visit it should be easy for a qualified Environmental Health Officer to undertake.
