Environmental Health Officer (Food and Health & Safety)
Mansfield District Council have an exciting opportunity available for a Environmental Health Officer (Food and Health & Safety) to join their team. The Environmental Health Officer will be working on a full time basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of up to £32,234 per annum plus £3,252 per annum market supplement (reviewed annually).
The historic market town of Mansfield is Nottinghamshire’s second biggest settlement. Close to the heart of Sherwood Forest, there is easy access to Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and the Peak District along with excellent links to both the M1 and A1 highway networks.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join our Food and Health & Safety Team. Work areas include food safety, infectious disease control including Covid 19 outbreak investigations and health & safety enforcement.
The ideal Environmental Health Officer will ensure compliance to relevant legislation by using a variety of measures including offering advice, education, partnership working and enforcement measures as necessary. You will be an excellent communicator and team player. We offer a flexible working environment which consists of both an office, home and district based working arrangement to suit the needs of both the department and the Officer.
