Salary - Grade 8 - £29,577 - £33,782
This is an open-ended full time position.
As an Environmental Health Officer working within the Food Team you will be involved in the inspection and enforcement of Food Safety and Food Standards legislation in applicable premises, including the issue of food hygiene ratings, within a defined area of Pembrokeshire, including involvement with regulation of approved premises.
You will also be responsible for investigating service requests relating to the above legislation, and determining the appropriate level of action required.
Candidates for the appointment will have a BSc Hons (or equivalent) in Environmental Health, including EHRB Registration, and a detailed knowledge of appropriate legislation.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Environmental Health Officer. Voting or Chartered.
- Food Safety and Food Standards competency/experience.
- Experience in the inspection of related sites.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in both written and verbal communications to ensure understand of recipient(s) with strong interpersonal skills.
- Possession of a valid driving licence.
