Temporary Housing Enforcement Officer                                     

GRADE: 6 / 7    

SALARY: £27,041- £33,782 per annum (Depending upon Experience & Qualifications) Plus Essential Car User Allowance               

TERMS: 37 hours, 3 years fixed term Contract   

We are looking for an enthusiastic Housing Enforcement Officer who is experienced and fully qualified, to undertake proactive housing enforcement within the borough. You will be part of a small hardworking enthusiastic team, providing a broad range of environmental health services.

You should be organised with excellent communication skills and possess the ability to work to tight deadlines as a high level of autonomy is expected.

Good interpersonal skills will also be required as you will be liaising and negotiating with the public, external agents, other organisations, elected members and other internal departments.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and awareness of the functions of Local Government organisations, including the different roles of Officers and Members.

We welcome new ideas, researching and implementing better ways of working.  Therefore you will be expected to use your knowledge, and experience to challenge and improve our service, and to help shape new procedures and policy.

You must possess a full driving license with personal use of a vehicle and excellent IT skills.
