An appropriately qualified Officer is required for this post in our busy Environmental Control Team. Taking a leading role in dealing with Air Quality Management and Environmental Permitting the successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to the Planning consultation work undertaken by the team in respect of air quality. An effective communicator at all levels, the successful person will have a good working knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to both Air Quality Management and Environmental Permitting. Other key skills required for the post include a high standard of computer literacy, as well as the ability to prioritise, plan and manage complex projects to a satisfactory conclusion.
The post holder will be able to work remotely or from an agile work hub but will also need to perform site visits. A degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, or a related subject, is essential and an additional qualification in air pollution would be desirable.
