ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
36 Hours per week, Permanent
Salary: Grade H. Scale 29 - £32,029 to Scale 34 - £36,876 with a profession bar at SCP 31 **
(Subject to suitable qualifications and experience)
We are seeking to recruit a qualified Environmental Health Officer to join our Public Protection Team. We are looking for someone who can engage with communities and businesses and have a real passion for improving public health and protecting the environment.
You can expect a mix of casework, projects and to be responsible for taking appropriate enforcement action. Work areas include Food Safety, Health & Safety, Animal Health & Wellbeing, Public Health and Workplace Health.
You should be a qualified Environmental Health Officer or equivalent holding an EHRB Certificate of Registration. Post graduate experience and a qualification in one of the team disciplines would be an advantage, but applications are also welcomed from recently qualified Environmental Health Practitioners.
