Job Information
We are looking for an officer to specialise in a full range of environmental protection activities including planning and licensing consultations, contaminated land, environmental permits, air quality management, community protection, anti-social behaviour, noise and other statutory nuisances.
You will hold a CIEH accredited degree in Environmental Health and be EHRB registered. Adept at organising your workload and managing conflicting demands, you will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to quickly build rapport with customers and stakeholders alike. You will have the ability to manage situations professionally and calmly.
This role involves travelling throughout the district with equipment, so you will also need a valid driving license and access to a car or suitable mode of transport.

We are looking for a newly qualified officer who is looking for a challenge in a full range of health protection activities including food safety, health and safety, all aspects of environmental health licensing and public health including COVID 19 work.
You will hold a CIEH accredited degree in Environmental Health. Key qualities we are looking for include being adept at organising your workload and managing conflicting demands together with excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to quickly build rapport with peers, customers and stakeholders alike. We would wish to see you competent in these areas as quickly as possible and will provide the support necessary to do this if you bring the necessary initiative, drive and commitment to the post. We will also support you to achieve Chartered status as quickly as possible.
