Job Details

We have a food hygiene and standards inspection contract in place with a client in South Wales which we will shortly starting. We expect the total project will be around 300 inspections which can be split up amongst multiple Inspectors if needs be but the ideal is for one person to complete it all.

At the moment we are operating under an amended inspection protocol to account for additional safety measures in respect of Covid-19. Ahead of visiting a premises our client will ask you to call ahead and, if necessary request copies of documentation alongside some information in response to a set of questions relating to food safety practices. This will be followed by a site inspection.

To carry out this work you will need extensive experience operating as a local authority Food Safety Inspector / Officer; the role would not suit those with experience in the private sector, it is essential that you have recent local authority inspection experience. We will need evidence of your competency (CPD record / qualifications / competency assessment document).

The work programme is flexible and we do not need full time commitment. We will allocate a number of inspections based on your own individual circumstances. We will pay up to £70 per inspection depending on the category.
