Environmental Health Officer x2

About the Role:

My Client is currently looking for two experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their team for an initial 4 months period. The role will see you cover food hygiene inspections across all categories B-E as well as assist their Covid19 response team. This will require you to undertake site visits and inspections of food premises, serve and enforce notices where necessary and provide advice and training for improving their standards. You will also be required to carry out reactive work, investigating hygiene complaints on an ad hoc basis.

The contract on offer is for an initial 4 months with the potential to be extended beyond this depending on the level of work. There will be some scope for flexible working however, some district work will also be required. The rates have been left open to negotiation but we would expect it to be between £30-£35 per hour depending on experience.

About You:

An up to date knowledge of Food Standards and Food Safety Legislation is essential. You will also be required to have a qualification at degree level or equivalent professional qualification in Environmental Health, or in Food Safety and Food Standards. Either EHRB registration or a Higher Certificate in Food Control/Safety is also an essential as well as 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
