Our client needs a Food Safety Officer to work up to 25 hours per week from now until the end of March 2021. They are offering a very good rate, up to £35/hr for the right candidate. The role is based in the East Midlands / Lincolnshire catchment area.

You will be brought on board to assist with the full range of food safety work with an emphasis on carrying out inspections of Cat C, D and E rated premises. In line with current FSA guidance a certain amount of this work will be completed remotely. The work will be a mixture of proactive inspections as part of the annual programme and reactive work to deal with any inbound queries and issues.

To apply you will need to be Food Competent with a full up to date CPD record. You will need the Higher Certificate as a minimum level of qualification and a CV detailing your food safety work over the last few years. Our client needs those who have worked within the last 2-3 years within a local authority setting. If you have only worked within the private sector for the last few years your application will be rejected.

You will need a broad range of experience working with various types of food business and you will need a good knowledge of local authority enforcement powers.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term contract on very flexible terms with a market leading rate.
