Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as an Environmental Health Officer with our Environmental Control & Protection Team.

Our Public Protection Service sits within our large unitary authority, bringing together food and health and safety, trading standards, animal health, environmental protection, licensing and pest control.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Public Protection Services within the Wiltshire Council & the maintenance of service quality. We are looking for an individual to support our Environmental Control & Protection Team.

You will join our team based in Trowbridge or Chippenham. They have a diverse remit and are involved with Local Air Quality Management, Land Contamination, Environmental Permitting, the investigation of complaints, Licensing Act & planning consultations, public funerals and private water supply regulation.

About you

We will look to you to have a qualification in environmental health, with a certificate of registration from EHRB along with a thorough understanding and/or previous experience of working in environmental protection.

If you are excited by this opportunity, are highly organised, positive, with an approachable manner, excellent communication skills and your ability to prioritise your work that will be your strength to Wiltshire.
