Location: Thorpe Lodge Norwich / South Norfolk House, Long Stratton
Salary: £45,718 - £50,928
Two councils, one team – come and be a leading player in our journey
About us
Broadland District and South Norfolk are two councils working in collaboration to enhance the quality of life for our communities. We have a long history of working together and have already achieved significant economic growth. We’re continuing to build on our strong partnerships through the present climate, aiming to deliver the best services possible. And that’s where you come in.
About the job
As our Food, Safety and Licensing Team Manager, you’ll oversee the compliance and public safety in thousands of food businesses and licence holders. It’s an exciting role as you’ll have a key role in shaping and organising high-quality service delivery, driving support and seeking opportunities for improvement across two boroughs. Your work will be customer-focused and multifaceted, so you’ll need to keep people at the heart of everything you do.
About you
We need you to be an expert in all things food, safety and preferably licensing. So, you’ll need a degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, and significant post-qualification experience. You’ll also have a proven track record of managing professionals, creating a positive working culture – and challenge yourself to find new ways to make a real impact.
We’re happy to offer a range of benefits including senior management professional development , a great pension scheme and a wide range of staff benefits. We believe in moving with the times, working smartly and collaboratively – so we enable flexible working where possible. You can also get involved with fun activities to raise money for local and national charities.
