Senior Operational Delivery Manager

Excellent opportunity to take up a key role with our client in a newly formed team. In an effort to manage cases of Covid-19 our client has developed a 'Local Outbreak Control Plan' outlining steps and measures they will implement to protect the community and deal with a second wave should this occur.

The role sits within their Public Health team and will see you assume overall delivery and progress of the plan reporting directly to the Director of Public Health (DPH) and Public Health Senior Management Team. The role will be challenging and you will quickly need to integrate into the organisation and work efficiently to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the Council.

You can expect to be managing multiple project teams through a matrix approach to working and you will have ultimate responsibility for planning and deploying a wide range of resources, particularly, if required, in response to a local outbreak which may require immediate operational response.

The role will suit an accomplished public sector manager, ideally with previous public health experience or experience in emergency planning. It is absolutely critical that you have strong leadership skills and can confidently direct other staff members working in a fast paced, high pressure environment.

Our local authority client is based in East London and you will need to be prepared to work in the office, this will not be a 100% home based role given it's nature. It is very likely that the role will run for th rest of the financial year. Pay rate is £498/day (inside IR35).
