Environmental Health Officer - Food

A client in Cambridgeshire is seeking several qualified Environmental Health Officers to carry out approximately 220 Category C and approximately 124 Category E Food Hygiene Inspections.

This is a full-time role, (37hrs per week), for at least the next 6 months to help with the backlog of inspections.

The post holder will be required to undertake remote interventions and carry out food hygiene inspections according to risk and in accordance with statutory requirements, national guidance, Council policy and service delivery plans.

You must meet the requirements of the Food Standard’s Agency’s Code of Practice to undertake food hygiene enforcement.

In order to be considered it is essential that you have previous experience of working within a council, ideally in the last few years.

You must be able to prove your food competency with over 20 hours of CPD and you must have completed a Food Hygiene inspection for a Local Authority in the last 6 months.

A copy of relevant qualifications, CPD certificates and certificates of registration with EHORB/EHRB will be required.
