Food Safety Officer

I am working with a local authority who are based in the West Midlands and they are looking for someone to start at the beginning of October. They are looking to add an experienced Food Officer to their team for an initial 6 months with the potential of rolling on thereafter.

In this job you will do:

• Food Inspections ranging from A’s – E’s.
• General reactive complaint work.
• Investigating outbreaks.
• Giving advice to businesses on food standards and hygiene
• They will require you to work alongside the Public Health team and assist with the health and safety aspects, such as social distancing in public buildings.

Rates will be around £30-£35 an hour depending on experience.

About You

Being EHRB registered is essential for this post as well as having 2 years of experience in Food Safety and Health and Safety, the council will require your competencies and CPD to be up to date.
