Food Safety Inspectors - Contract to March 22

We are currently bidding for a project to deliver around 1100 Cat C-E food premises inspections for a client in the Midlands. We have a team of Inspectors who have worked with this client previously and can cover around 700-800 of the premises but this will leave 300-400 spare. The premises are predominantly Cat D and new businesses with a number of Cat C and E premises also.

At the moment, they are operating in line with FSA guidance so inspections are a mixture of remote work followed by site visit. This may be subject to change in future. We do not necessarily need you to commit for the full duration of the contract and we could easily assign a small batch of inspections during a given period; the work schedule is totally flexible and you will manage this yourself.

You will be paid on a per inspection basis, £29-£37 (ltd / umbrella) per inspection depending upon the category. In some instances a revisit may be required and you will be paid an additional rate. The work is outside IR35 for those wanting to use a Ltd Co.

To be considered for this work you will need to be food competent with recent experience (i.e. within the last 2 years) carrying out inspections on behalf of a local authority. This work is not suited to those who have been working in the private sector; please do not apply if you have not worked in the public sector. There will be no formal interview process but we will need evidence of your competency - CV / CPD record / Qualifications / Competency Assessment.

The contract will run until March 2022.
