Rushcliffe Borough Council are looking for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team, focusing on Environmental Protection.
Job Title: Environmental Health Officer
Salary: £25,425 - £ 34,743 per annum
Location: Nottingham
Hours: Although this is a full time post we will consider applicants wishing to work part time, or on an annualised hour’s basis.
Environmental Health Officer – The Role:
An opportunity has arisen within the Environmental Health Service for a dynamic individual to work in a forward thinking organisation with a great reputation.
We are looking for somebody who has expertise and experience in all areas of Environmental Protection. This is an exciting opportunity as the successful candidate will have the chance to lead on Air Quality, Contaminated Land, PPC Inspections, Commercial Nuisance Investigations and Planning / Licensing Consultations.

Environmental Health Officer – Knowledge:
- Knowledge of current environmental health legislation, regulations and appropriate codes of practice (guidance)
- Ability to work with the general public
- Knowledge and commitment to diversity in service delivery
- Knowledge and commitment to customer care issues
- Strong time management and organisation skills.
Environmental Health Officer – Experience:
- A wide range of environmental protection experience
- Experience of dealing with statutory nuisance investigation and enforcement
- Experience of commenting on planning applications and licensing consultations
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health with a valid certificate of registration with EHRB
- Membership of CIEH
- Relevant specialist post graduate qualification
- A full driving licence that is valid in the UK and access to a vehicle.
