The Council is looking for a qualified an experienced Environmental Health Officer within the Housing and Pollution team. The role implements both reactive and planned workload in relation to private sector housing Inc. HMO Licensing, public protection and pollution including statutory nuisance, within this Community Regulation team. The role will provide professional advice to a range of customer, partners and stakeholders with the aim of protecting and improving the health, safety and well-being of consumers, residents and workers within the Borough at work, at home and at leisure.
You will be an experienced investigator who has a successful track record of undertaking investigations into alleged legislative non-compliance, taking appropriate formal action such as the service of notices, works in default and preparing case files for legal action through the Courts across the disciplines of both Housing and Pollution/Statutory Nuisance.
